A Medieval Extraction Horror Experience
Overview
Harrow is a first-person, medieval horror extraction game set in a fictional war-torn post apocalyptic version of early 12th -15th century Europe.
Players enter dangerous maps to loot, hunt, and survive against monsters, cultists, and other fellow scavengers — but only those who escape alive keep what they’ve earned.
Inspired by Escape from Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, and Blight: Survival, Harrow combines brutal melee combat based on real world HEMA Combat, high-risk high reward raids, and an oppressive atmosphere to create a grounded, unforgiving experience.

Faction System: Align with or oppose roaming factions such as The Forsworn and The Hooded Ones. Reputation affects the way you play.

Persistent Progression: Keep your experience and reputation even in death, but your gear is always on the line.

Dark Medieval Setting: A grim reflection of Eastern and Northern Europe — where faith has crumbled and survival is its own heresy.
Development
Harrow is currently in early solo development using Unreal Engine 5.
I’m starting by designing core movement, combat systems, and a small-scale prototype map.
All animations will be created using Quickmagic motion capture — allowing realistic melee movement captured from my real movement, Combat will be as close to REAL historically accurate fencing as i am a Fencer IRL.
The project is built entirely by one developer, and progress will be documented through regular devlogs here on Itch.io as often as i can given my being a lonely little solo dev.
